Course Summary: In this class, students will learn how to analyze theme, character, and plot in a work of fiction. They will then take what they have learned through their analysis and form an educated opinion of that work. Throughout the course of this class, there is strong emphasis on critical thinking and presenting information in an interesting, yet clear and concise manner.
Class Size: 6-7 students
Class Time: One hour per week*
Class Dates: 12 weeks*
Homework: Around 45 minutes of homework time each week

Amanda Stout holds a BA in English, CBEST certification, and a Life Coaching Certification. With over 10 years of experience teaching writing to students of all ages, from preschool to adults, she has been with Keetown since 2016. As a homeschooling mother, Amanda deeply values individualized education and integrates this perspective into her teaching approach.
