Pervasive Persuasive: Persuasive Writing Level 2 by Coach Sarah

Course Summary: Pervasive Persuasive is a persuasive writing class focusing on the fundamentals and fallacies of persuasion.  We'll look at current and historical examples of persuasive reasoning, as well as examples of faulty logic, while learning how to persuade our reader to our way of thinking.

Students will be expected to write 6 persuasive pieces (4 essays and 2 smaller assignments) over the course of eight weeks.  Students will meet for 1.25 hours each week (one hour one day and a 15 minute one-on-one revision session later in the week) with about 30-60 minutes of homework each week.

Class Size: 6-7 students

Class Time: One hour per week plus .25 hr one-on-one revision meeting*

Class Dates: Eight weeks*

Homework: Around 30-60 minutes each week
